    Hello,

I’m still wondering about image file sizes while using NextGen. I want to have a “big” version (e.g. 1024 pixel wide) of the image on the site to display in lightbox mode, but I want the image scaled down while embedded on a page (e.g. 400 pixel wide.) For this, I’d need the image dynamically resized according to the screen size of the visitor. Most “optimization” plugins only offer to resize while uploading, and they crunch down the “original” file so there is no longer a big version for the lightbox view.

Is this possible? Do I need an additional plugin, or is there a function in NextGen itself that I’m missing?

    Regards

@150d – IT reads as though you just need to set the thumbnails size appropriately for your displays and/or specific stage/slideshow size images if not thumbnails.

This can even be done uniquely for each display you insert using the IGW (“green button”) in the TinyMCE editor.

    Thanks!
