How can I get two spaces after a period?

  • I am using WordPress 2.2 (have been using many versions before that) and I notice that when I write stuff WordPress auto formats my sentences and paragraphs. Instead of letting me put two spaces after a period, which is standard practice when typing, it formats it all on me and takes away my spaces.

    How can I get WordPress to quit formatting stuff on me and allow me to post what I actually type? Everything looks smushed together and I’d like to change that.
