Please help to make comment and favoriting two-way

    Things that we can post from Buddypress are Group posts, photos etc and now we have Rendez-vous! This is exciting really.

    Now, stuffs like Photo etc have two default behavior (using, for example, Buddypics)

    Comment can be made from either activity stream or the content page itself and if made in one place it will show in the other too. Cool! And useful, and is the usual way things happen in social sites. I am using Buddypics – it does this exactly. I am not sure if I am missing anything – I am unable to see comment made in activity stream appear below the Rendez-vous content in the individual page. Please help.

    Same about “Favourite” – cannot see the Favourite button in the content page itself. In Buddypics etc Favoriting is two-way. I wish Rendez-vous can do this also. Is it something I am missing? …. can this be done by adding some code in the page template of the Rendez-vous content page?

    BuddyPics seems to play in a interesting way with the activity component, i didn’t know about it, Thanks for sharing about it i’ll explore it.

    About BuddyPress post types activities : this feature was introduced a few days ago in 2.2 and is not taking care about the commenting part : it’s something i still have to work on.
    Favorites is also in needs for improvements and i need to also work on it, see :

    Once this part will be achieved in BuddyPress i’ll see what i can do for this plugin ??

    You know what : whether these features are done or not, the most encouraging and satisfying part is when the Dev responds so fast and responds with so much care. It is a great feeling for the rest of us! Thanks so much.

    Buddypics has been letting you post comments both ways and favouriting both ways from long time ago – I think BP 1.5 or 1.7ish

    Hi imath, I took a look at those tickets and apparently they have been postponed indefinitely. Actually I waited for about four years I think to have these two very basic things (commenting and favouriting – the usual two way that is done by every site and every script) and if this is getting delayed, we cannot actually release the site. I do understand that there are reasons for delay.

    In the meanwhile, can there not be any plugin or a patched version/forked version of BP ( as in github, that can be upgraded later to regular) that achieves these two things ?
