I’m getting the following error after updating from 1.72 to 1.73:

Warning: preg_match_all() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.photon.php on line 91

Error remains after disabling all other plugins (apart from Jetpack and WordPress SEO) on Twenty Fifteen and Twenty Eleven themes.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Thanks for the report!

You should be able to get rid of the problem by deactivating the Photon module under Jetpack > Settings in your dashboard.

I’m also looking at the different changes that were added to the latest version of WordPresss SEO to try to understand what’s causing the issue.

Hi – I have the same problem.

It went away after I reverted to WP SEO v1.7.1 (I didn’t try v1.7.2 since I updated directly from 1.7.1 to 1.7.3 this morning.

I found the older version of WP SEO on the “Developers” tab of the plugin page, should anyone need it (direct link: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wordpress-seo.1.7.1.zip).

Photon seems to be more beneficial to my site speed than WP SEO, so I rather stay with the older version until this gets sorted. ??

Thanks for reporting this issue. We’re currently working on a fix for it.

Since this seems to be a bug, we’re in need of full bug reports on GitHub. To keep all information in one place, please add your findings and bug reports to this thread: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/2001.

I will mark this topic as resolved, in favor of the thread on GitHub.
