My website is https://www.internetwarz.com, when i checked it with Google page speed insights i found that my website has a server response time of 8 seconds. I tried contacting Godaddy for this but they said that there is nothing wrong with the parent server. Can someone help me with this,

Hm, it is loading slowly. Here are a few things to try:

    1. Stop using Page Speed Insights. It’s really broken and frequently misreports things. That’s not the case here, your response time is very slow, but you’ll get better and more consistent results from https://gtmetrix.com/ and https://www.webpagetest.org/

    2. Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    3. If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue.

    Hi James,
I did what you suggested and i found out the the plugin wordfence was the main reason for this slowdown. I tried disabling other plugins too but they didn’t affect the speed. I also tried changing the theme to twenty fifteen but it had no effect too.
Though the site speed and response time is improved now, are there any other ways which can further increase the speed?

https://gtmetrix.com/ should give you some good tips on improving speed in your report.

Running you images through a CDN, like Jetpack’s Photon module, is a big help: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jetpack/ (that will fix the “Specify image dimensions” which GTMetrix is hitting you hard for)

Also, if your hosting provider offers Google PageSpeed, switch that on. (their speed test may be terrible, but their module is amazing, and it will fix the “Defer parsing of JavaScript” which GTMetrix is hitting you hard for)

Otherwise, your site has a score of 90% which is very impressive these days.

Also, since you’ve left out WordFence, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures (which won’t slow down your site).

    @ Vipul Behl.
Use W3 Total Cache Plugin . w3 total cache will help to improve your website loading time.

Thank you both for your suggestions.
