Twenty Thirteen Banner cropped on iPad child theme

  • Uploaded banner is sized iaw theme specs. However, it gets cropped depending on screen used and is totally out of wack when seen on an ipad.

    I search the forum for similar issues and one fix suggested creating a child theme to address the banner issue. I tried creating a child theme and the site does not load properly at all (only style.css without any mods in child theme directory).

    So, two issues:
    1. Banner gets cropped. Especially noticeable when seen on an iPad
    2. Child theme does not load site properly (appear it’s missing stuff from the parent)
