Using xampp, I created wppa photo albums. In one of these albums, I need a grid layout to show Before and After pictures. I may be important to mention that I need preview pics, not thumb layouts for this particular page. So I am using the Envira plugin. The wppa album uses a link to a page which has the Envira album.

So, it works when using wordpress on xampp. But when I uploaded the site onto the webhosting server (godaddy), wppa does not recognize the album.

Once again, if I were able to use wppa to create several pages of 2 column grid layout of pictures, I would use it.

Did you move the content of the folder …/wp-content/uploads/ to the new system?
Dis you also move the 8 wppa database tables to the new system? ( wp_wppa_albums, wp_wppa_photos, … )

I imported the entire wp site, which includes /uploads/wppa and /uploads/wppa-source.

I’ve just looked inside /wppa-source and noticed that the albums in question are not saved. Once again, they have no pictures, they link other pages. And it works when I am logged in as wp-admin, both locally and remotely.

I’ve tried using a link to another plugin that has columnar grid layout, and got the same negative results.

So, i think you should address your issue at the Envira forum.

I seemed to have resolved the issue. Even though my subalbums were links to another page, each sub album must have at least one picture, which is used as the cover picture.

    Thanks for the prompt responses.

P.S. – I don’t know why the lack of cover pictures would only work when logged in as wp-admin, but I am grateful that the issue has been resolved.

Admin has more privileges by default.

By default: ‘Empty’ albums are shown to administrators and the owners of the album only, while they are hidden to non-admin users not being the owner of the album.

You can change that in Table II-E7: Skip empty albums.
