Removing left and right widget area

Hi.

I am overall very pleased with the Matheson theme, but I just can’t seem to get rid of the widget sidebars. I can make them blank but it’s still there pushing my posts to either left or right, when what I really want are my posts being centered and “clean”. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
