403 and mod_security

  • I’ve read this thread about a workaround for mod_security, but the workaround doesn’t work for me.
    After modifying my .htaccess as recommend there, I get the following when I try to login:

    –error message—–
    Error 500: Internal Server Error
    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
    –end error message——

    Now this looks like it might just be a particularly nefarious configuration by my host, but I wondered whether anyone might have any ideas for a workaround on this.
    I’ve already sent off an email to my host to see if they’ll relent.
