    Hi Team,

    I am running a blog, https://www.superwomanindia.com

I guess I was playing with header.php or some other file.
Currently, in title bar/title of website ‘-‘ is appearing at the beginning. You can see it once you open this site and see at title bar.

Can you please suggest how to fix it.

    Thanks.

  • Kindly go to your active theme(happenstance) directory, located under public_html/username/wp-content/theme/

    Open header.php

you can check it into the title section.

Changing it in your Yoast SEO plugin settings will be much easier.

The setting you are looking for is either in the Titles settings, or the Social settings.

    Hey Brad.. you are champion..
I got it, its triggering from SEO plugin that I am using.
I got the root cause but not able to fix it because ‘Title separator’ option is not allowing me to avoid it.

Can you please tell me :
    – Whats the use behind this Yoast SEO plugin ‘title separator’ function ? Is there any benefit of it ?
    – As I am not able to fix it, how I suppress this Yoast SEO setting ?

    Thanks.

The title separator is just that, a way to separate your titles. Since you’re site is called Super Woman India, you could have a title “Super Woman India Beauty Products” or “Beauty Products Super Woman India” or “Super Woman India – Beauty Products”. It just helps to make things clear.

After clicking on Titles & Metas there are Home and Post Types tabs. In the title area for each of those are %%sep%% tags. If you remove these tags, it should remove the hyphens from your titles.
