    Hi,

When I try to report sploggers (in WangGuard/user page or WordPress/user page) I get this message, after a minute or so:

“There was a problem connecting to your wordpress server”

Then my wordpress dashboard freezes and I have to quit & restart safari in order to keep working on my site. And of course the specified user are note marked as sploggers.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi mcy2015,

Please check if you have all tables. If not, use the script in WangGuard Help section.

    Thank you for your reply.

Please could you explain what you mean by “check if you have all tables.”?

    Many thanks.

    Yes,

go to phpMyAdmin, and check if you have the tables:

    {prefix}_wangguardquestions
    {prefix}_wangguarduserstatus
    {prefix}_wangguardreportqueue
    {prefix}_wangguardsignupsstatus
    {prefix}_wangguardcronjobs

    Kind regards

Can you try the wizard again please?

We had a problem with MySQL and maybe that was the problem.

    Thanks for responding so quickly!

    Problem is still there:
When I try the wizard or to report sploggers (user page), the site freezes, while navigator still works with other websites.

There are other user that have your same problem https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/wangguard-freezing?replies=16. That user gave me Admin privileges and I hadn’t the problem.

Can you try with other PC/Mac and other browser?

    I solved the problem.

I first checked with other browsers (Safari, Firefox, Opera & Chrome on mac) but the problem was still there.

I then deactivated avery plugin except WangGuard and it worked. I then added the other plugins by small groups testing WangGuard each time, until all plugins where again activated. And it still works!!!

I don’t know why it didn’t work before, but at least it’s solved.

    Thanks for your help!

Hi, I get this same error when trying to mark users as sploggers. First I get the “this user will be deleted” popup, and when I confirm this, it goes away but nothing happens. When I try to refresh the page or navigate to a new one, I get the “There was a problem connecting to your wordpress server” popup box message, and the splogger users are still there.

Same here! “User will be deleted pop up”, nothing happens and then freeze.
Even worse, this is freezing the whole website.

    Pretty buggy plugin.

    Hi @peter020,

This is a known bug when the website use BuddyPress.

For fix it, go to wp-admin > WangGuard > Configuration > WangGuard settings > and disable “Ninja Mode”.

    That will fix the problem.

I’m sorry for this bug, we are working in the next release, and this will be fixed.

    Kind regards

    Hi Jose,

Thanks, but Ninja Mode is unchecked. I never touched this option.

The problems started when I checked “Delete users when reporting them to WangGuard.”

If I uncheck this setting everything seems to work fine.

Oh, I’m sorry, that’s right, that is the option.
