argument inside existing shortcode, limited post count

I have views that appear, respectively, on their own category page.

I want a summary page that shows the most recent two posts for each of the categories, e.g.:
[pt_view id=”View ID” count=2]

This would prevent me from having nearly-duplicate views with one of them limited to 2 posts.
