Featured image in Search results

    Hello Richie,
    I want to show featured image on search results within the site. Currently it is showing only Tittle and excerpt on search results. Please guide me how i can show featured image of the posts on the search results.

    delete or rename to searchx.php wp-content/themes/mesocolumn/search.php

    thanks for your understanding Ritchie.
    But i think you are telling me the alternative solution.
    i did what i have told me. But now in search results it does not show the text
    “Search results for ‘Search String’ “.
    is it possible to show featured images on the search results by changing the php code of search.php?
    Please have a look on the matter.

    copy archive.php and rename to search.php try…
