• I’ve read this topic after browsing the forum for topics with the same problem.

But that topic was resolved by uploading the includes folder. I’ve uploaded every file and folder and purged my cache but WP still says it’s 2.2 and doesn’t need to be upgraded.

My blog’s Generator metatag also says WordPress 2.2.

How’d I know that WordPress successfully upgraded?

WordPress doesnt tell you that it needs to be upgraded. And if you still see 2.2. than there’s a decent chance your files inside wp-includes WERE NOT overwritten. Or you didnt use the proper version.

The version number is stored inside wp-includes/version.php.

Whats currently displayed in that file on the server? NOT your desktop, the server, where your install is.

Hey thanks, apparently I told FileZilla to only overwrite files if newer instead of always, so the first transfer could’ve messed up and FZ would’ve refused to overwrite on the second upload.

    WP is now upgraded!

Good job ?? welcome to the legions of responsible web masters!
