I tested it more. W3TC doesn’t seem to cache pages when I use this plugin. I use the disk enhanced setting.

    To be clear:

When W3TC Disk Caching is disabled, this works as intended.

When W3TC Disk Caching is enabled, disk caching doesn’t happen AND CSS loading is not asynchronous.

    Hi Superpoincare!

Thanks a lot for your feedback! The admin link-bug will be fixed in the next update.

Regarding the W3TC browser cache settings, the plugin does not modify http headers and does not interfere with plugins that modify headers. The problems may be related to your browser cache. Did you try to load the website via an incognito browser? (Ctrl-Shift-P in Firefox, Ctrl-Shift-N in Chrome)

The plugin works as intended with W3TC Disk Caching. The plugin simply inserts critical path CSS inline and loads CSS files asynchronously via javascript using native WordPress plugin functions.

Perhaps there is a page cache-removal problem. Did you check if the page cache is cleared correctly?

    Thanks Jan for your reply.

Yes I have tested it by removing all cache from my browser. (In fact use a separate browser as well to test: Google Canary). So I am sure it is not my browser issue.

Ignore my previous comment about headers. I did something wrong there.

I see what the plugin does by viewing the HTML source file.

I also tested it by removing all files stored in the page_enhanced directory of my server.

At this point, all I can say is that W3TC is unable to cache the HTML. In some cases I was earlier seeing the CSS file load on top but no longer. Can’t figure what changed. So now the CSS loads as intended.

So in brief, at this point, I can say that there are two issues for me: the wp-admin link and W3TC not caching HTML even if enabled.

    Thanks again.

    Hello people,

As I am new in WP and I have a problem also with the speed, so I”ve downloaded Above The Fold Optimization, but I dont know what is the next step. Please can you help me as I am new in this?

This plugin sounds great but needs a tutorial how to use it, if i may suggest, there is a free tool called jing out there that allows you to quickly capture a movie of your screen, you do not even need to talk, can you please create a short movie, which will show non developers through the plugin implementation process, of checking with google pagespeed insights which css/js are blocking, then how to do your bit step by step with your plugin to fix such issues.

Also I found description of what the plugin settings allow you or require you to do confusing, can you explain it more clear, is there a way to do things just manually and alternatively is there another way to automate the whole thing, or do you need to do both in order to use the plugin? A short how to tutorial probably would clear this confusion.
    Hope that makes sense.

I would be nice if there was a 2 minute video demo, how you use it, which we could look at.

Thank you for the wpfaster link above, just had a good look around but I’m not impressed with it. I have seen to many affiliate programs in my time to believe in any such solutions. If i needed expertise help I would go to: fiverr.com

In this case, I want to be able to resolve such issues myself, every time I make an edit, i do not want to have to pay mega bucks for some competitor marketer out there to clear my website cache.

    All the best.

    Hi,
thank you for plugin, it looks like it works very good but I have a question.
When I load my site (airbrushdoc.com) in Chrome I use to check Console via Inspect Element and I have some errors there and warning. It looks like these are somehow related to above the fold optimization plugin. But I wanted to be sure:

    Warning says this:
‘HTMLHeadElement.profile’ is deprecated. The reflected attribute has no effect.

2 error specifying the same thing:
    Error 1 > GET https://fonts.googleapis.com/css rocket.js:4
    (anonymous function) rocket.js:4
    window.abovethefold.loadCSS inline-b53aa175c3.js:1

    Error2 > GET https://fonts.googleapis.com/css inline-b53aa175c3.js:1
    (anonymous function) inline-b53aa175c3.js:1

link https://fonts.googleapis.com/css doesn’t work and ends in error 400
The website works ok but I don’t like these errors.
    Can you advise on this?

    Hi folks,

Just a quick note for delta123:

Thank you for the wpfaster link above, just had a good look around but I’m not impressed with it. I have seen to many affiliate programs in my time to believe in any such solutions.

Hi delta123. We’re not an affiliate program (not sure how you gathered that, actually) nor are we affiliated with Optimalisatie.nl, nor he with us. I believe he was simply trying to provide you with the best possible solution to your posted issue.

If i needed expertise help I would go to: fiverr.com

I assure you, you’re not going to find what we do offered on Fiverr (or anywhere else, actually). ??

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Support. They’re more than happy to help clear up any other confusion.

All the best — and be well,
