Groups Activity Auto-refresh

    Hello I am using wp-symposium and I have created a group on my site. When a user creates a post or a comment I want the page to autorefresh so all other users can see this post immediately without having to manually refresh the page.

    I managed to find the js code that loads the activity page and used setInterval to make it execute every 5 seconds. The problem in this is, that the textareas are also reloaded, so if it takes you longer than 5 seconds to write something it will be lost :/

    Some help please? ??

    We are not going to be making any changes to WPSymposium only keeping ti compatible with wordpress, as we have a new Product which replaces WPS . Please visit WPS site and follow the link to the PRO site.

    I am not asking you to make any changes or make a new version, just help me do this simple thing.

    Also note that wps-pro groups also do not autorefresh.

    They do not auto refresh because of CPU usage on a server. Plus it does not auto for the very reason you stated above. Members would not stay there very long if a page keeps refreshing on them.
    What you have done is the best you can do with it.

    Are you retarted? Please imagine facebook, who would use facebook if he had to manually refresh the page each time he wanted to see something new?! Members love if the page does something automatically and they don’t have to click for it. It’s called a live site.

    Can you either help me or refer me to someone who can?
