Not sure if you fixed the issue, or if it’s not showing 404 errors in a way that’s obvious to me.

Unless it’s the 3 posts on the page that need checked, like https://iplay.firstdynamic.com/whole-baby-guide/activity/breathing-exercises/ or https://iplay.firstdynamic.com/whole-baby-guide/activity/reiki-treatment/

See if 1.0.4 helps work this one out, as I know there are rewrite based changes still needing to be made, much to my behest.

Flush the rewrite rules once more afterwards, and if necessary, try re-saving the post type/taxonomy settings once more, even if you don’t make any changes.

yes, it is the 3 posts that have 404 errors.

I updated, resaved the post type and taxonomies and I still get a 404

Hrm, very frustrating for both yourself and myself.

How comfortable are you with touching the database directly? I’m thinking the options aren’t matching what they need to, thanks to one of the array key changes needed in I believe 1.0.3. Just need to delete the cptui_post_types and cptui_taxonomies options and let them regenerate themselves from the still available 0.9.5 saved options.

I had the same 404 issue to the single pages after updating. After writing the post types name into the field ‘Custom Rewrite Slug’ which is normally blank and optional when it’s the same slug as the post type name, it worked again for me.

Hmm. Good to note oliwa, and that’s something that I can check on, as it’s a specific location. Thanks.

The single pages mostly work now but I am having issues with categories(taxonomies). Each post type needed there own set of categories so I had made them using the custom taxonomies.
    https://iplay.firstdynamic.com/whole-baby-guide/activity/
activity is a custom post type. Nurture, nourish etc… are all the categories (category being set up as a custom taxonomy). The posts below it are from that category, but if you click “nourish” for example, that takes you to a category, which should be a page of all posts in that category. It also was working before the update.

Not sure if this should be in this post or your new post…

I resaved the taxonomies, and resaved the permalinks and they still all go to a 404.
In the admin the category is is still in the menu under the post type, it is only the category pages on the frontend that are an issue.

When I visit https://iplay.firstdynamic.com/whole-baby-guide/category/nourish/, and got there from the link above, I see what appears to be different sections. Ideas, Recipes, Videos, Resources. 2 Posts under each, except for Resources which has one.

The two under “Ideas” lead to working links, both under Recipes lead to 404s and the url doesn’t reflect the Nourish category term, but does for “recipes” as would be expected.

Videos are both fine, and Food Journal is leading to a 404. It seems like some of them are working again, but not quite all of them.

From the looks of the body tag, it is the nourish category archive, but I can’t say for certain what’s going on in the template file it’s choosing for that url.

Would you be willing to provide some information gathered from a custom plugin I did to help me debug CPTUI upgrade issues?

    Thread Starter dolcezza

    (@dolcezza)

What is happening now is if I change Custom Rewrite Slug in the Custom Post Type Taxonomies then the posts work and the categories (taxonomies) don’t. If I delete the custom slug, the categories go to a 404 and the posts work.
I can give you information to helpo debug, we aren’t live yet. I was supposed to go live yesterday and it is holding me up though, so if we could do it quickly that would help.

Not sure if this have been already said but it shows when the front page is set to show latest posts on front page, but not on linked page

dolcezza, I forget if you’ve sent me login creds or not. If so, then I may just log in myself and check things out. If not, here’s the plugin itself https://cl.ly/2J2Y1d3G0i1O

Not quite following 2redline, we don’t have any settings that would be affecting the show on front setting.

Just saying the same posts as in the custom post type does at least show on the front page even though your plugin does not on pages where they use to.
