Formatting Collection

I am having problems with the Aesop Story Plugin.

I started by inserting a ‘collection’, which I set to show 8 posts in 2 rows of 4 columns. I have at least 16 posts showing, not using the filter I checked, all in one column (so it wants to show 4 pages of 4).

I don’t know if there is a certain page type I should be using or what the problem may be, but it’s kind of frustrating that I can’t even get the simplest things to work.
