Featured Image Display Options

I’d like to have the featured image appear on the home page but NOT at the top of the post page. There’s an earlier thread on this topic (Resolved: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/featured-image-display-1?replies=8) but the solutions there didn’t work for me.

Forum Moderator suggested there are better solutions and that I create a new thread. Thanks in advance for the help.
