    Hi,

First off, I’m hosted on a VPS (Linode).
mywpmu.com (example) has the A record of the IP of my VPS and that works fine.

    blog1.wpmu.com works

I bought blog1.com but putting the A record of my VPS IP brings the blog1.com to an “Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page”.

    I am using:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/

I have of course remembered to add “blog1.com” as a mapped domain under the plugin settings for the site. As well as configuring my IP for the network plugin settings.

Now can I fix it using CNAME?

    Should I set www to blog1.mywpmu.com ?

Did you add blog1.com on your VPS to tell it that blog1.com calls from the same location as mywpmu.com?

Generally you do this by ‘parking’ or making an add-on domain.

    Hi,

Yes thanks. I had my VPS manager setup a wildcard for parked domains and now it works ??
