    A helpful feature would be a way to see a log of plugin updates with dates and versions.
    Many times when we encounter a problem with a plugin the first questions the authors have is either, “Have you installed any new plugins recently?”, or “Have you UPDATED any plugins lately?”
    When working with more than one website, tracking the updates is near impossible.

    Thanks,

    That’s something that is already handled by the author’s change log, though not all of the authors do that well.

    For example https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jetpack/changelog/

    For the more techincal minded there is always the trac link too.

    That’s nice, but as you stated, it is far from complete and practiced. That is why I am suggesting a new feature.

    And I think you misunderstood my intent.
    The feature I am suggesting would be wrt to Plugin section viewable in the WP dashboard. I.E, the admin of the site would be able to look at his/her Plugin listings and see when each plugin had been updated on that specific site; not when the plugin had been updated by the author.

    Well, one good way to see when a plugin was last updated is to FTP and look at /wp-content/plugins/ and look at the modified date of the directories.

    I can tell I last updated Jetpack on 3/19/2015

    @markrh,
    Archaic.
    That’s why I’m calling for a log that can be compared by a script or SQL query.
    Who has time to check each and every plugin one-at-a-time???

    I agree, a built-in logging feature would be better. I was just mentioning a way to see when one was updated last.

    Found this Activity Log plugin. Mentions plugin updates. Haven’t tried it so no idea how well it works. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/aryo-activity-log/

    I very much second this! I’d love to see previous versions as this would definitely have saved some time with the issues that came up as a result of an update.
