Menu Bar showing over some pictures

This problem is caused by z-index: 9000; around line 1752 in style.css in the Canvas theme. You can either remove this line or try overriding it if you are using a child theme.

I too am having this same issue – and I do know that this is from the theme – where it sets the menu above the page so that it is always omnipresent as you scroll. Is there a way to set the lightbox to overlay over everything as the highest layer?

Try adding z-index: 1; to .et_fixed_nav #main-header, .et_fixed_nav #top-header at line 185 in your theme’s style.css:

.et_fixed_nav #main-header, .et_fixed_nav #top-header {
    position: fixed;
    z-index: 1;
}
