    Hi there good Theme ppl!

I am using MCX and loving your work!

I have been trying for sometime to have the main boxes on the home page assigned to different collours depending on the category of post, not the type of post.

Anything you could throw my way to help would be brilliant.

I am not a code expert but if you tell me what to put where, I can get around!

Also is there a way to round off the corners of these boxes?

    Cheers
    Fred

    Hi,

This is possible, however, it will require some editing which will require you to setup a child theme first. Are you using a child theme? ??

Like I said I am trying to have the masonry color dictated by the category not the type.

Here is my web site ThumbZter

    Hi,

I’ll catch you later tonight with this issue. Don’t worry. Just need to finish some important work. ??

    Regards,
    Hardeep

    Hi,

You need to edit content.php and all the content files and add the category as the class of the post, as explained here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/adding-tagcategory-name-as-css-class-in-query?replies=7

As you’re working in a child theme, you need to copy all the content files to your child theme and make this changes to them.

    ??

Sorry guys, I am still complitely lost here, I have been trying to create the loops for colors to change dependant on Categories, but I am getting nowhere. I just need 2 category with 2 different colors, the rest can stay the same and be edited manualy

If you look at the website https://www.thumbzter.com at the moment I am using the post type to change colors which means I have to do this after the post has been made.

Since ppl post on my page it automaticaly reverts to a post format (which will become red) but I have 2 categories they can choose from ThumbZ Up or ThumbZ Down. I want ThumbZ down to be Red. But I want ThumbZ Up to be green. if anyone can give me more details would be great!

The respective slug for these are also easy ThumbZ Up is slug “up” ThumbZ Down is slug “down”

    Many thanks in advance
