Really, you are very very close!
My suggestion:
after packager is done ask for the ftp of the target, upload pakage and installer and run installer with previously set settings.
Then you need just to take care of file permissions (see other post) and permalinks.
For permalinks you could create a temporary “duplicator” user with throwaway password, use it to press “save” on permalinks, and then delete user (or maybe just circumvent wp security, since installer is external, or just reuse wp code).Delete pakage and installer and we’re done!
Take all theese settings and save the in a small profiles database in the source site (Wp Migrate DB has them) and you can replicate this push installation at will, with just a button.
Wanna let the user check the site all at once? Take the sitemap, for each link create a BIG iframe in a temp page, so we can look at an entire site in a single browser window (I do it, very practical!)
