How about adding a delete image icon?

I overcame the idea of “Add Media” including images (always thought media referred to audio and video). But the inability to delete an image file from the library is a challenge. If there is a way to delete an image, it is well-hidden. Why not add a “Delete” icon? Maybe you folks omitted the essential feature in the free version of Word Press to encourage us to buy the premium version. If that’s the tactic, it’s a turn off. Hope I’m wrong.
