Can not get image to fit correctly

I am using trying to size a photo so that the entirety of the photo is shown on my products page of a website I have been developing using wordpress. I have tried to re-size the photo to smaller than the size of the frame its in(Firebug tells me it is 300×300) and it still cuts off the edges and looks exactly the same no matter what size I make it. I should mention that I am using the woocommerce plug-in. So I tried resizing the standard media sizes in the woocommerce plug-in and wordpress itself so they match and then I regenerated the thumbnails(because this is what was suggested online). My site is still in testing so I can’t link to it but I will provide a screenshot if that helps at all. Thank you for taking the time to read this and offering any guidance in advance.
