uploading products using XML and/or .cvs

I have a fairly technical question for you. I have a set of products in a .cvs file and an other in a XML file.
I would like to import the products in wp-e-commerce. What is the best way to do this in a programmatic way? Is there any API for inserting/removing/editing products?
