    Hello there,

    BackupWordpress won’t create any backups manually with no errors. Only when I chose to get backup from Database I receive following error:

    shell_exec() has been disabled for security reasons, /…/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/classes/class-backup.php, 1860

    In the meantime I made couple of backups on my other websites with no issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I’m kinda confused right now. Any clues?

    Same here… if I do a backup (both database and files) I get the same error:

    shell_exec() has been disabled for security reasons, /home/…/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/classes/class-backup.php, 1860

    The backup is nevertheless being created… but still – what consequences does this error message have?

    I am having this same error message popup. Looking forward to a response soon. Thanks!

    Still have the same problem after updating to Ver. 3.2.1

    This issue should be resolved in 3.2.2.

    Unfortunately, It hasn’t resolved yet even in ver. 3.2.2

    Problem still exists! 3.4.2

    if you have the “shell_exec” error come up – it’s because your host has disabled that function on your server (usually shared hosting). Our plugin has a fallback method in place if that happens, but it doesn’t work all the time.

    If you are having an issue with this please open a new ticket so we can confirm why your backup isn’t completing – it might be due to another issue.
