Custom Field Search

There are no weights defined on custom fields, or other indexed data, yet.

Also, I tried to locate it in return field but it’s not returning in doc1. I checked previous threads, i added it in wp-solr class and schema but still no luck.

Can you tell me anyway through which i can define the weight using some customization and can get the custom field value as well in doc1.

Yes, even i tried to list my custom field on solr instance using gotosolr but ifound that there is no value in tnation_author_fname ,
q=*:*&fl=tnation_author_fname

I have already added the field in schema – <field name=”tnation_author_fname” type=”string” indexed=”true” stored=”true”/>

Custom fields are automatically indexed by WPSOLR, if you select them in indexing options.

Your query should be
q=*:*&fq=tnation_author_fname:*
