    Hi,

    Just so I understand correctly.

    1. You want to remove the options for response randomisation and have it default to manual ordering?

    2. You wan to remove the import export menu link?

    Is that correct?

Thanks Alex for the wonderful plugin …..

    1. Yes I want to set the default behaviour to manual ordering

    2. No . I just want to set the answer order to manual in case of imported questions.

Basically I want to set the order of answer as manual for imported questions as well as questioned entered by the user.

    Thanks,
    Niraj

Hi – I’ve fixed the ordering type set when importing questions, so it will now assume the ‘random’ or ‘ordered’ setting that the original question had.

I’ve also set the default behaviour of new questions to ‘Ordered’ response options as it makes more sense. I’ll get this update released shortly, or if you need it ASAP send me your email and I’ll zip over the files directly.

    hi Alex

i must be blind but how do i disable random question ordering for a quiz I created manually?

    Cheers

You’re not blind, but if you use the standard question pots it’s the only option there is.
The only way to have a list of questions in a specific order for a quiz is to use the other option where you specify question IDs in a comma separated list.

The reason for this is that you currently can’t order the questions in your question pots. This may be something we revisit in the future, but if you’re using X questions from pot A and X questions from pot B which is pretty standard for an academic quiz then the questions would be in a random order anyway.
    Hopefully that makes sense?

    Alex

Ah, OK. I’d prefer the questions be grouped by section inside the quiz. So if I have 10 “maths” questions then 10 “thermodynamics” ones they come 10 at a time. Is that doable?

If you grab the IDs for those questions you can add them in the order you want using the advanced comma sep list described above, but if you choose 10 from maths and then 10 from thermodynamics using the pots they will be completely random I’m afraid.

This is something I could address in the future release with the paging system.

    Great, thanks.
