• Hi, I love this plugin very much and I don’t want to change it, so even if this can’t be fixed I will still be using it! That being said, I would very much like to fix this issue.

I am using the method in this post to make a counter that works with Contact Form 7 & the dynamic text extension.

It works flawlessly for me, but for others it seems to be hit or miss. Instead of showing the counter’s current value it randomly uses an old one. e.x. If it should be 10 it’s 6, however the variable is actually updating correctly it just emails the wrong number.

There is no pattern to the numbers and it seems to be random. I’d think maybe it’s a cacheing issue, but I have not messed with my site’s cache settings (or at least I don’t think I have). The counter code is in functions.php and my site requires Javascript so I know they have the site’s Javascript turned on. I am also sure it isn’t the same person because I log various details and the form redirects when completed, so it isn’t all coming from the same person’s browser.

I know you don’t officially support that plugin, but is there any chance you can help?
