  • Your email was sent by WordPress but rejected by Gmail.

Are you using SMTP? What is your FROM email address domain? What SMTP server did you configure to use?

Hi, im having some issues with sending of email too, and I think its what you say with the SMTP, my client uses google bizz apps to handle email, so there is no email accounts with the account, and so as email service is not available for the account, the emails are not sent. How can I change it so it works? and where do I configure the SMTP server?

    thanks for your help!

To setup email in WordPress for Google Apps, install an SMTP plugin.

Google Apps is a little trickier than a personal Gmail account because Google does not permit the ‘allow less-secure apps to connect’ option for Google Apps users. You may have no choice but to use OAuth 2.0.

    OH I see…

I dont have access to configure the google bizz accounts anyways… so I should download a SMTP plugin to set it up with OAuth 2.0? that will be possible, even if i dont have access to the google apps?

    thanks!

Configuration of SMTP authentication, whether OAuth 2.0 or password-based, requires that you can login at least once to the Google Apps account – you must have the username and password.

Because you have a Google mail account (Gmail or Google Apps), you have to send mail through Google with authentication – that means connecting WordPress to the smtp.gmail.com server. If you try to send mail from a Google address without connecting to that server, it’s not going to be reliable at all and is not recommended.

You definitely want to install an SMTP plugin:

I installed the postman SMTP and the wizard is pretty good, but I do need to create a client ID and has to be with the clients domain name, not my personal gmail…

    Ill see if they can give me some access, or else, just take off the form altogether and just use a contact email… :{

    thanks for your prompt help!

You could create a new Gmail account just for this purpose. But I agree, it looks much better, more professional, if the email comes from the clients domain name. Let them know they can safely change the password after you have configured OAuth 2.0 for use.

    Hi, Manuki & SMTP,

Thanks both of you for your valuable feedback.

I am not using SMTP. I am using only “Contact Form 7” WORDPRESS plugins.

Could you please give me any solutions using this plugins.

    Thanks,
    Kamal

@engr. kamal, you must install and configure an SMTP plugin to send Gmail from WordPress.
