add text box to Event Details area

  • Can you advise if it is possible to add a text box to the Events Details area of events organizer? that is, the page which i go to for more details? as it is now, seems i must put full text description on the main Events page which is making that page long. would rather put longer description of event in events details area.

    Hi I think I answered your e-mail earlier, but I’m reposting my reply here:

    The template event-meta-single-event.php (in event-organiser/templates) handles the event details there. So you can add additional content there.

    To add fields to the admin page to obtain that content from the user you would probably need to use WordPress’ metabox API. Examples can be found on the codex: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/add_meta_box
