How to enable users to create new posts from a menu?

  • Hi all. I have a site up, and I want users to be able to create content of type post. How can I create an “Add new post” item for them in the site menu? I know that the url is “username/post-new.php” but I can’t put that in the menu link URL bar because it will be interpreted as “username” and not the user’s actual username. I am sure this is a simple thing, but I am stuck.
