List Is Empty

I cannot get the [user_favorites user_id=”” include_links=”true”] to produce a list of favorite posts. It simply prints an empty
<ul></ul>

• happens both locally or in production.
• both logged in as admin user or logged out.
• both custom post types & “post” post type

*btw – a page template with an example function to produce the list would really help everyone!
