Home page

  • I can’t seem to find my home-page in the files and folders.
    I just started using WordPress and I still am fumbling.
    I find an index page but it is not my home-page. Could it be listed as something else ?

  • Can you see your blog in a browser? That’s your home page.
    Your home page is displayed in this way:
    you have a “short and sweet” index.php file in the WP install’s root folder which calls for other files…. which ultimately will call your theme’s index.php file to display your content.

    Note. WP doesn’t work like the old style html pages. All the content is created “on the fly” dynamically – retrieving your data from the database. So, don’t look for any content in the files. There is none.
