oke, inside the main plugin file.. not the options file, if you downloaded wp-deadbolt 3..

theres this line:

function deadbolt() {

change that to read:

function my_deadbolt() {

then at the bottom, change this line:

add_action('register_post', 'deadbolt');

to read:

add_action('register_post', 'my_deadbolt');

that should do it.
