• I made a scan and got ” File contains suspected malware URL”
    Bad URL: https://u.ai/
File type: Not a core, theme or plugin file.
    Severity: Critical

“This file contains a suspected malware URL listed on Google’s list of malware sites. Wordfence decodes base64 when scanning files so the URL may not be visible if you view this file. The URL is: https://u.ai/

Tools : Delete this file (can’t be undone)

    QUESTION:
Will the issue be solved if I click on “Delete this file (can’t be undone). ” OR what should I do whenever I get issues? I just installed the plugin about 1 hours ago (today April 3rd 2015).

  • Why don’t you download the file to a folder on your PC marked possible virus? Then delete the suspect file from your server.

I didn’t see the option where I need to download the file. And why do I actually need to download the file before I delete? Then, when I need to delete it from my server, do I need to do that via file manager or is it through wp-admin? or how?

    Thanks in advance

I think it’s a good idea to download the file so you can put it back if you need too. You download a copy of the file to your desktop using FTP or the File Manager.

As for deleting the file, use the option in Wordfence, or FTP or the File Manager. It doesn’t matter how you delete the file.
