  • Yes, you definitely get speed improvement by using cloudfront only – there’s a thing called “origin pull” which means that cloud front will pull the file from your site when someone attempts to access it.

I don’t think this plugin supports that, but you can definitely do that with w3tc and I know there are others.

One downside with origin pull is if a file doesn’t get accessed frequently, cloudfront stops hosting it, and that first time the file is accessed – it takes a little extra time to pull the file from your site that first time.

Hi, I am wondering if I can just use Amazon s3 within this plugin as I am currently using W3 Total Cache which I use the option there for Amazon Cloud Front. So my question is can I use both these plugins, one for just Amazon S3 and the W3 TC just for caching and Amazon CF?

Also I notice some other users have issues when using CloudFront within this plugin and they want to not use it anymore as the URL stays the same and needs to be changed manually. So this question I have is if I do not use Amazon CloudFront within this plugin and only use it via the W3 TC plugin will I not have this issue?
