Calculated database and file size includes backups in 3.2.4
-
Hi,
Small bug in the latest update from 3.1.4 -> 3.2.4. The calculated database and files size has increased to include the /wp-content/backupwordpress-xxxxxxx-backups/ directory. So whereas in 3.1.4 I see:
Backup my database and files (56 MB) ….
After updating to 3.2.4 I see:
Backup my database and files (230 MB) ….
Note that the backups directory is still excluded, and is not included in the resulting 25mb backup, so the issue is only with the message the user sees.
Cheers.

This is also happening on a second site I have updated.

Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch.
We’re aware of the issue and are looking into it. There’s no need to be alarmed, we’re now just including old backup ZIP’s in the site size calculation. So that is the size of your site, but your backups won’t be that size.
Cheers,
OwainMany thanks for the update.
Hi Cuvelier,
any idea why the 3.2.4 update is running into ‘failed to open stream’ issues?
this is the full error report, but am having zero clue as to a fix?
Warning: require_once(/hermes/bosnaweb02a/b693/ipg.gamesmediaprocouk/wp-content/plugins/classes/class-plugin.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hermes/bosnaweb02a/b693/ipg.gamesmediaprocouk/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress.php on line 45 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/hermes/bosnaweb02a/b693/ipg.gamesmediaprocouk/wp-content/plugins/classes/class-plugin.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php-5.3.13/lib/php’) in /hermes/bosnaweb02a/b693/ipg.gamesmediaprocouk/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress.php on line 45
LOL thats me told! ??
thanks Owain, I’ll get across there. Thanks for letting me know.
I uninstallled for the time being because of the size of the error code but as soon as we have it sorted out I want to reinstall asap
best
Jamie
