Responsive Ads Not Showing in Widget Area

  • Google code for a Responsive Ad use as a Widget for the sidebar does not show. The Ads for a Widget that is non-responsive work.

    The problem is if we use the non-responsive Google code in the Widget for the sidebar on a mobile device we would have a long rectangular Ad. We would like to utilize the responsive Google code because the expectation is to have the Ad appear on the right sidebar on a desktop and adjust on a smaller display such as a mobile phone at a square.

    Are there any fixes for this problem or are so doing something incorrectly. Any feedback is welcomed.
