Add Templates without sidebar

Hi,

I want to add some custom templates using the standard method in WordPress.
So I creadted a copy of page.php. But whatever I change it does not seem to be recognized.

In particular, I would like to remove the sidebar on several pages.

Standard WP tells you just to remove this line “<?php get_sidebar(); ?>”

However, in the version of clean black theme, I only find “<?php get_template_part(‘sidebar’,”);?> “

Moreover, if I remove this line, the side bar is still shown.

Anyone found a solution of how to deal with this??
