Bug with admin and editor restriction

I have a major problem. Don’t know how to erase this post, but I’ll be back…

Hello here I am again,

So well, in fact I don’t know what I did during my tests last time with the new file, but in fact it does not work at all…. (‘well it was an install where I tested many things, many new roles, ad I got completly confused at the end..)

Any way I am on a fresh and clean install, and if I use the new files, then all pages and posts are public whatever I check. (the file in the repository works as expected, but not the new one woth post author and user ID).

So I don’t know if you want to have a go at it or not, I presume this is much work for you. Just tell me please.

This time I made every test I could think about and it seems to me everything is working fine whether logged in or not ! THANKS !

You told me before you did not anticipate wp updates. That this mean that with the next update this version of your plugin might not work anymore ?

Glad to hear it!

I’ll update the plugin in the coming days. SimpleRestrict is very basic and relies on stable/core WP functionality, so I t should work for a long time! If a new version of WP breaks it, I will fix it.

I confirm, everything works just great now.

Moreover, I noticed that if I create new roles (either through PHP or with a plugin) then they appear in the simplerestrict box, which is very convenient..
I am so happy I found your plugin and don’t have to deal with heavy membership plugins..

Glad to hear it! I’ll update the plugin the WP repositories soon. I think I’ll also add a page to add/delete User Roles.
