Month Grid shows Monday as first day of week

Hello – I have confirmed in my google calendar settings that months are have SUNDAY as the first day of the week – but when I insert a month-view grid widget it’s showing with MONDAY as the first day. I have gone through all of the settings for the plugin and Google Calendar and cannot see how to make the month view show Sunday as the first day of the week –
