• Some sort of mix between this plugin and my theme (Expound) or another plugin has rendered my Visual Tab useless. I found this out as I went one-by-one, turning off plugins.

I have no further information to report, but I wanted to let you know.

The result is: In edit mode, I can see and click both “Visual” and “Text” tabs. I can see “Add Media” button. But when I click Visual, none of the wysiwyg buttons come up. No text displays in the text area. It’s just a bit white blank space. When I click on “Text”, all the code is there… the limited wysiwyg buttons are there, too. But Visual mode is useless.

If there’s anything that you think might be causing this, please let me know. Otherwise, it seems I have to look for a different plugin.

Site’s experiencing downtime right now, funny enough. Can I suggest in the meantime you also try adding the following plugins to the test site using Expound theme:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/book-review/

I have a gut feeling it might be one of them causing the additional conflict.

FYI we checked with default theme
so please check with default theme from your end also

    OK, thanks for testing.

Since I have no desire to use the default theme for this site, whether it works or not with it doesn’t really make a difference to me.

what i meant to say is that it could be something from your theme which is interfering with the tab

Not only did XYZ HTML kill my Visual Editor tab, it also killed my Visual Editor.

Any help with this issue will be appreciated.

I just want to mention that I tested XYZ HTML on the default theme & it still doesn’t work.

I hate to confuse matters, but on another site where the Visual tab was killed — and XYZ was installed — it turned out to be “WP Super Edit” which killed the Visual tab — and leaving XYZ activated was OK.

But that first site, it was definitely XYZ. So I’m confused and have no idea how to help the developers.
