Spaces before plain-text e-mail addresses are truncated

When the “Replace plain email addresses to protected mailto links” setting is enabled, it will replace all e-mail addresses with links as expected, BUT it will also remove eventual space before the original e-mail address.
So if the original content was:
contact: [email protected]then the result will be
contact:[email protected]which doesn’t look nice.
