• I am trying to display my images in a tiled gallery on my page. I referred to the examples given on this page. This is the gallery shortcode I am using:
    [gallery ids="48,49,50,51,52" size="thumbnail" columns="3" type="circle"]
Hence my gallery should display as 3 images in 1st row and 2 images in 2nd row and pictures should be circular.

However it displays the images in a single box as a rotating slide show.

My site is not yet live however you can see the page on this link.

How do I display the images in a tiled manner ?

  • Hmm, I just tried it on my test site and it worked fine. Do you happen to have a gallery plugin installed, like JetPack?

Thanks for checking on this so quickly. I do not have any gallery plugin or JetPack installed. I checked my site again. Strangely the images now display individually but still no circles. Would there be anything else that I should check ?

OK, I think I’ve figured it out. You actually do need to have Jetpack installed to get the circular images. The reference page that you cited earlier is for sites on WordPress.com, which is different than the self-hosted sites (AKA, www.ads-software.com). Sites on WordPress.com automatically have Jetpack installed, so the type option is available for the gallery shortcode. If you look at the www.ads-software.com documentation for the gallery shortcode, type is not one of the available options. If you add and activate Jetpack, you’ll get the circular images. When I inspected my own site, I realized I had Jetpack activated. When I deactivated it, I got rectangular images.

Thanks. I just need to install and activate Jetpack or is there any specific module of Jetpack to be activated ? I have already installed and activated Jetpack but still no circles
