• Hi

So I got my own www.ads-software.com-Blog about a week ago. I installed the plugin “Google Analytics by Yoast” among others. First, I was happy to see that my page was viewed about 50 times a day but soon I realized that most of the traffic (“Traffic sources”) comes from various pornographic sites. But my page isn’t about such stuff! (It’s about travelling)

Also, on “Popular pages” there are some entries like this:

So the user has to manually type in, or get linked to something like this:

    https://my-page.com/www.foreign-page.com/reply945680

These are too mostly pages with pornographic content… I tested it out and they simply get to see my 404-Page…

So I got a few questions:

    1. I’m confused, why should anyone do something like this?
    2. What should I do? IP-Block or something?
    3. Is my page misused as a gateway or anything like that?
    4. Does this influence SEO? I mean… I do not want to get stamped as a pornographic page…
    5. Or should I just be happy about the additional traffic?

I do not want THIS to show up if somebody is searching for my blog, so if you need a link to my page just ask and I’ll send it to you… somehow (well, I’m new).

And lastly sorry for my probably not perfect english, still learning.

    Thanks!

I can’t and I won’t. As I wrote earlier I do not want to get related to this topic. Too, I do not understand how a link to my page would help you in this specific case…

Anyway, I made some screenshots from Google Analytics for better understanding:

The problematic entries are marked with red. The ones with a “?” are not really problematic but I ask myself where those are coming from…

    Thanks in advance.
