Too many DB queries?

  • I have installed WP lightbox 2 and I wanted to check its performance using a plugin Query monitor. It appears that WP lightbox is the heavies plugin of all. It executes 26 queries on a page with one picture only. I am logged in as admin, so my interface takes some more load than a typical user, but 26 qieries are too much I think.
    I see most of those queries are pretty light, but if there are 26 of them it adds up to the heaviest load on the DB from all the plugins.
    Do you know the way to get all the options from DB by one call? I think that would boost the speed a lot.
