    I found a solution btw:

    https://github.com/magnetikonline/wordpressrebuildthumbnails

Use with CLI and it will does the job perfectly. Don’t forget to define the thumbnail sizes at the end of the file.

    hi there

I uploaded the force regenerate plugin, it failed a few times and when i stopped it, now my images have all disappeared off my site, thumbnails and main images. When I try to add a new image to wp backend, it says the .jpg hhas failed to has failed to upload due to an error. The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2015/06.

    on wp v4.4.2

    !!

Help please to get back my 2000+ images to show on my website and to allow me to upload images. I have disabled the plug in but it doesn’t help.

How do I fix this easily?

    D.

Also, I tried reinstalling wordpress and this is what I am getting: it is as if by regenerating the thumbnails, things have moved:

    Update WordPress
    Downloading update from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/release/wordpress-4.2.2-no-content.zip…

    Unpacking the update…

    Could not copy file.: wordpress/wp-settings.php

    Installation Failed

An addendum to my previous note:

I am now getting this message when I try to log into my server: all I have done is try to regenerate thumbnails… thanks. d.

No space left on device -> Your hard disk is full.

Ask your web hosting provider to assign you more disk space or simply change to a bigger plan.
